Orient bay offers the largest and safiest place for kitesurfing in St Martin. The lagoon is perfectly desert and protected by the Green Cay reef (biggest wave-spot in St Martin) (4 kiters on crowdy days), the kite spot is away from the other watersports, students will learn in a safe area with plenty of space. The launching area in front of the center is only for independant kiters who know how to ride upwind. If you are not 100% independant, choose our upwind taxi boat or just take a lesson.

Wind adventures established a Kiteschool since 1998 and is the Saint Martin specialist for kiteboarding. Our certified team (3 instructors with 3 motorboats) will teach you in a very short time one of the best sport in the world! We offer group lessons, private lessons, video analysis and kite assistance.

As a IKO center (155), we deliver you a Kiteboarder level card at the end of your tuition. All our lessons are on reservation, we have a morning session (9 am to 12 pm) and afternoom session (1:30 pm to 4:30 pm).

We start from Green Cay island, shallow water for the first 2 lessons, and then ride in Orient beach with the safety boats.

Because Orient bay is only for independant kiters, we propose a kite assistance taking you upwind to make sure you can ride in safe condition. Our team will take you upwind, next to Green cay island and drop you in the water. This is a perfect way to improve your riding without getting a lesson. You should be a minimum independant (IKO L or 5 FFVL). Kitegear rental not included.

The kitesurfing area is 80 meters from the beach, so you will have to ride upwind to reach it.
Orient bay is not a beginner or intermediate spot, so we suggest you to have our instructors assistance or if you are still not 100% upwind, use our kitesurfing taxi boat to take you upwind hassle-free.

Use the launching area in front of the school, it is narrow but our instructors are always happy to help you launch. We always check the spot.

Orient bay is the only kite spot in St Martin. Galion bay is a Marine park, and kitesurfing is not welcome in this area. It is only for local kiters and lessons are not allowed.
